Over thirty years ago, Faith Kowalski launched what once was a dream she joked about with her sister Brigid Slack to open their own salon. Faith previously worked many years with Mckeesport Redevelopment Authority but decided to stay home and spend the early years raising her son, Darin, after his birth. When she was ready to return to the workforce, Faith followed a desire to do something a little different this time. After presenting their ideas to their husbands and gaining their support, Faith and Brigid bought their vision of Elegante Details Salon to life.

Elegante Details is a full-service salon with areas for hair, nails, and pedicure services as well as three private treatment rooms for massage, facials, and micro-blading.  As one of the largest businesses of its kind in the White Oak and surrounding areas, Elegante Details proudly supports the community and neighbors through outreach programs as a way of showing their continued appreciation.


Their team consists of 19 highly skilled stylists, nail technicians, estheticians, and massage therapists. Salon Manager Jeannie Smegelski is the pulse of their day-to-day operations providing invaluable dedication to managing staff and efficiently assisting clients.

“Several of our staff have been with us for 20 or more years, “ Faith added. “some who left to start families or had moved away have returned to pick up where they left off. We’re blessed with strong, dedicated, and seasoned staff. We’ve introduced new services of the years and these girls are always ready and willing to learn.”

Elegante Details also has micro dermabrasion , micro-blading and micro-needling.

But really sets Elegante Details apart is their wonderful clientele. Not only does the salon provide an oasis of comfort for busy people to relax, but it’s also known for feeling like home.
